About The Rio Nido Roadhouse

The Rio Nido Roadhouse sits in a sun-filled clearing in the middle of a redwood grove just across the road from the Russian River. The bar itself is fashioned from a single downed redwood. In addition to any drink you can think of from its full bar, it offers a wide range of draft and bottled beer, hand-picked by owner Brad, himself a beer aficionado.

The roadhouse boasts a new commercial kitchen, grill and pizza oven, now offering a tempting variety of American "roadhouse" favorites, most with RNR flair, created and recreated by Brad and his fine kitchen staff.

The old patio has been expanded, covered with new roof and side awnings, and furnished with outdoor heaters for year-round dining. Just about every Saturday night, bands playing their latest music and old favorites, appear out on the patio. You can hear and dance to music of the Grateful Dead, French folk funk, reggae, rock, blues, cool swing, and more blues!

The beautifully refurbished, vine-covered redwood gazebo is the site of weddings, birthday and anniversary parties, and is a "secret playhouse" for the children who use the pool.

The 60' x 30' swimming pool ( plus kiddie pool) opens officially on Memorial Day weekend and closes on Labor Day weekend. However, warm weather often extends pool use by a weekend or two on either end of those dates. A lifeguard is on duty during pool hours, 11:30-5:30 daily.

The rejuvenated outdoor stage is the venue of well-known and popular bands 8-9 months of the year. There's a large dance floor directly in front of the stage where guests from age 4 to 94 are known to slow dance, rock, and swing. The good ol' days of Saturday night bands and dancing under the stars is back!

The immediate roadhouse property is a good-sized acre and also includes basketball and volleyball hardtop court, horseshoe pits, two large barbecue pits for parties and events, a dozen 8 to 10-person picnic tables, and dozens of Adirondack chairs and umbrellas.

River rafters and paddlers may pull their canoes or kayaks up onto the embankment and walk through a tunnel under River Road directly into the roadhouse parking lot. All are welcome.
