SUMMER HAS ARRIVED at the RIO NIDO ROADHOUSE!

Hey Fans and Friends, It's REALLY summer! Pool's open--swimming every day and water aerobics 6 days. Bands are playing on the outdoor stage. Everyone is dancing! And almost all the kids are out of school! It's gonna be a good one.

This Saturday night the 12th, GARAGELAND RODEO is back! 6-10 p.m., $5. This is what you get: classic rock & blues with loads of soul and a hint of country. Oh yes, and a heavy dose of Rock and Rodeo! You will dance, dance, dance. Not only that, but Garageland Rodeo loves the RIO NIDO ROADHOUSE--Brad, the staff, all the guests, and the setting. What could be better?

The weekend of the 19th and 20th is a double-header. The LINDA FERRO BAND plays Saturday night, 6-10 p.m., $5. You should hear Linda belt out the songs! The band is jazzy, bluesy, and pop in a sassy, sultry rockin' style. She's a fantastic keyboardist and backed up by a terrific band. Great to listen and dance to.

THEN, Sunday, June 20th is FATHER'S DAY! To celebrate the event, we're having our wonderful BUFFET BRUNCH, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., swimming of course, and then topped off withD'GIIN for dessert, playing on the stage that evening! D'Giin plays 6-ish to 9-ish (you know D'Giin). $5. The Father's Day Buffet Brunch is $12 per person, kids cheaper.

To round out the month, the THUGZ play on Saturday, June 26, 6-10 p.m., $5. Remember--Tribal Hippie Underground Zone? How to describe them? They say "Cosmic America". They play Grateful Dead, Dylan, Lucinda Williams, Donovan, and a bunch of their own music. Come on out. You know you love 'em. It's as much fun to watch the dancers as it is to dance!

We've got some more blow-out weekends coming up, so stay tuned. Lavay Smith & Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers on a Friday and the Unauthorized Rolling Stones on Saturday. Tudo Bem on a Friday, Fargo Brothers on Saturday, and D'Giin on Sunday. Stompy Jones on a Friday and the Pulsators on Saturday. Linda Ferro on a Saturday and the Sun Kings (Beatles) on a Sunday. Rusty Evans (Johnny Cash) on a Friday and The Dirty Jug Band on a Saturday. It's all part of the endless summer at the Rio Nido Roadhouse. Don't miss out.

If you're interested in the water aerobics or adult night swimming, please call Kim at the RNR at 869-0821. There's child care available during the aerobics in the mornings. It's happenin' already. Night swimming for the entire family is Friday night.

Don't forget about our good food, full service bar and 15 of the best beers on tap. And on Friday and Saturday nights, the kitchen remains open until 10 p.m. (all other nights 9 p.m.) If there's a special you want but haven't seen on the menu for a while, ask for it. Like the Cilantro Chicken Salad (guess you could have it as a sandwich, too). The Breakfast Sliders. The Hot Brown. Wednesday nights Mario the Beer Blogger is here with his pick for microbrewery and beer of the week. We've got a pool table on the covered patio and horseshoes outdoors near the stage.
